Traincontroller 40 – Timetables

It is quite easy to create automated train traffic in Traincontroller, by having trains run on cycle- or shuttle schedules and by using the option that a schedule can start one or more successors at it’s finish.

Another way of automating traffic would be the use of timetables. Both ways can also be used intermingled.

A timetable is merely a list of schedules and macro’s that are going to be executed at their given date / time. The ability to use the date makes it possible to create 365 different timetables. Which one is run, is selected by the date field in the timetable window. This date is your layout’s ‘fake’ date … it is entirely separate from the current real world date.

  1. Dear Ruud
In using timetable and clock the will to add knowledge, improve.
Then following further question waked up:
Is it possible to make a train start (or a different more complex ‘situation’, throughout switches) by the use of the clock, fixing the starting hour (just for example, at 10.34 a.m.) so that when the clock is ticking the fixed hour the train will start?
    Thanks in advance.

  2. dear Ruud
I have some questions about timetable to submit to you and may be you can help.

    1) When more different schedules have been placed on one timetable, how to cancel one or more of them?
    2) How to delete one timetable used (for example) just for exercise?
    3) How to create different timetable (having each one inside, different schedules)?

Above as I did not succeed in moving across each one of above points to find the solution.

very grateful in having your answer.

    • 1) When more different schedules have been placed on one timetable, how to cancel one or more of them?
Just click on the line you wish to delete from the timetable, it highlights in blue, now press the Del key on the keyboard.

      2) How to delete one timetable used (for example) just for exercise?
Well … it is not so much a timetable you delete, as well all the entries that have a specific date. Click the icon that says ‘Show only entries of current date’ and select the date of which you want to delete the entries. Select them (click at the top and Shift-click at the bottom to select a range) to highlight them in blue and press the Del key.

      3) How to create different timetable (having each one inside, different schedules)?
Just add timetable lines and give them a specific date. When running (out of edit mode) select the date in the timetable date selection field, then this is the timetable that will run.

      Hope this helped.
