Traincontroller 9 has the option to work with Stations. A Station is a collection of blocks that we allocate to it. Once Stations are defined several new options are available. The video shows four:
– Minimum and maximum allowed trains in the station: this way we can avoid the station to ever be totally deserted, or to always keep one or two lanes free for passing traffc.
– A local Spontaneous-Run: the train will never run further away than one block from the station.
– Autotrain-by-Drag-and-Drop now has Station Icons: a random train will leave from the Departure Station and will drive to a random lane in the Destination Station.
– The number of trains in the Station is available for use in a Variable.
There is more that can be done, please refer to the chapter about Stations in the Traincontroller 9 User Manual.

Hello Rudy , first off all THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WORK !!!!, really all your videos are excellent !!!.
I have a question :
If I have 4 starting tracks and 10 end tracks and I want to dispatch trains for either any of the starting tracks to any of the end tracks, I only find the solution to put 4 on/off switches in each of the 10 end tracks, so If I want to dispatch a train form TRACK 1 to end TRACK A I push the switch that start the scheduler that moves the train to TRACK A from TRACK 1, so I have to have 40 switches !!!!
Is there any another solution? some that I can select the BEGINNING BLOCK and the END BLOCK and the TC automatically select the schedule it needs to move the train to that block.

If it is not important to which of the 10 tracks a train drives, you can create just one schedule that has the 4 start tracks and the 10 destination tracks and TC will randomly decide to which track a train goes. It can take train and block lengths into account.

In iTrain heb ik de neiging “vast te lopen” omdat het ontbreekt aan heldere uitleg online.
Dank je wel voor het maken en publiceren van de serie TC video’s! Wat een prachtig hulpmiddel om je door zo’n enorm uitgebreid en “taai” programma heen te knauwen!
Wanneer je het hoofdzakelijk moet doen met de officiële manuals (zoals bij iTrain) dan wordt het wel een hele opgave.
Wat ik wel jammer vind van TC is dat het goed kalibreren van locs niet lukt in de testversie … daarvoor is een kwartiertje verbinding te kort. Echt wel een minpuntje om goed te kunnen testen. Het is me nu wel ruwweg gelukt om een loc redelijk op een positie te laten stoppen, maar voor nauwkeurige positiebepaling is goede calibratie noodzakelijk. Dus ik kijk uit naar mijn licentie!
Mag ik als ik gaandeweg vragen heb jou benaderen? Want er kan veel, heel veel met het programma!

Posted by Jacques Greeve | June 26, 2019, 06:54Hoi Jacques, Leuk dat je ook door het TC virus bent gegrepen. Natuurlijk is het OK om me te benaderen als er vragen zijn. Voor het kalibreren van locs is er een Arduino meetopstelling waarmee het binnen 5 a 10 minuten te doen is. Ook met licentie is dat een mooie tijdwinst en het is ook gewoon leuk omm een snelheidsmeter te hebben.
